Gene Coulon Park - Renton
This Memorial Beach Park (originally Lake Washington Beach Park) consists of 53 acres of land and water area at the southeast corner of Lake Washington and offers a unique opportunity for water-related recreational enjoyment. Enjoy the Clam Lights at night, Kids Fishing Derbies, the Limited Hydro Plane races and the Kidd Valley Summer Concert Series. They also have two restaurants on the property, seafood at Ivar's and hamburgers, etc., at Kidd Valley.
O. O. Denny - Kirkland:
This gem of a park lies on the northeastern shore of Lake Washington in a secluded neighborhood just off of Juanita Beach Drive. This quiet park, carefully tended to by dedicated local residents, consists of a beach, a groomed picnic area, and an upland forest in a stream ravine, with some huge cedar and fir trees that missed the logger’s ax of the last century. The small gravelly beach is a good place to put in a kayak or watch the sunset over the Seattle skyline.
Medina Beach - Bellevue
An upscale neighborhood, Medina is located on the west side of Bellevue along the eastern shores of Lake Washington to either side of the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge.
Peter Kirk Park - Kirkland
It is located in the heart of downtown, two blocks from the waterfront.
Kirkland is a baseball town and hosts teams of all ages in the region.
Baseball games are held daily and you can join in at any hour for free.
This park also hosts free public tennis courts, a public basketball
court, skateboard park, the only eastside outdoor public swimming pool,
the library, Performance Center, and senior center.
Marsh Park
and David Brink
Park - Kirkland
Home of public art and a great place for people watching.
These two parks are fondly known as Unemployment Beach.
Reason being, they're both great places to hang while your enjoying your
unfortunate lay-off during those wonderful sunny days. Watch out
though, Kirkland has a strict cruising law. Be careful not to pass
twice on this strip.
Houghton Beach - Kirkland
This park features sandy beaches, play equipment, volleyball, public
sculpture and a lifeguard-protected swimming area. It is also the home
of Cascade Canoe and Kayak rentals. The park is occupied with over
a half a dozen picnic tables on the lush hillside above the beach.
Located on Kirkland’s Lake Washington waterfront, the park presents
swimmers and sunbathers alike with a serene setting during the warm,
summer months. The park includes a 75-foot dock as well as a wooden
raft. The sandy volleyball pit draws many people as well, although, you
must provide a net. A playground is also available, providing children
with a chance to climb and swing. Houghton Beach is a great
sunset-watching spot, and has an excellent view of Seattle.
Chism
Beach Park - Bellevue
This waterfront park is suitable for couples, groups or even weddings. It overlooks Lake Washington and has life guards on-duty 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM daily through Labor Day. It is also well equipped with a children's play area and clean restrooms. Clyde Beach Park is just minutes away and offers just a slightly different view with a long dock and enchanting boathouse that will evoke memories of summers past.
